EMS Week Recognition, May 22, 2018 by Katie Graham
Today EMS week was celebrated at the Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors meeting. Two events were celebrated with the North Bay Fires of last year being the first. Firefighters Ben Slaughter and Josh Clark were recognized for their efforts evacuating care facilities. Josh and Ben spent the better part of 4 days evacuating veterans to safe refuge. The second event was the rescue of an injured firefighter during the Bear Fire. Firefighter Ben Slaughter was recognized for his part of the rescue. Congratulations to both of them!
