Measure N Passes!, January 23, 2017 by Katie Graham
The Boulder Creek Fire Protection District would like to thank the community for their overwhelming support passing Measure N. Measure N currently stands at just under 83% yes votes. This measure will ensure the district will have adequate funding to purchase fire engines, breathing apparatus and firefighting coats and pants for the next 30 years!
Some of our upcoming purchases, which will be partially funded by Measure N are: Structure Firefighting Coats and Pants in 2017, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) in 2018 and a Type 3 (Wildland) Fire Engine in 2018. Structure Firefighting Coats and Pants have a life of 10 years according to national standards. Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) have a service life of 15 years per national standards. The Type 3 engine will replace an engine that will be 24 years old.
